2010 Adult Learn to Sail Class
This Summer, ELSC is once again offering its adult learn to sail program. The cost of the program is $60 for five classes. While having your own boat is not required, it is highly desirable. Enrollment will be limited to ensure one on one instruction on the water.
The class will meet on the following dates:
June 18FRI 6:00 pm Class 1 - “Parts of the Boat and Sail”
June 26SAT 9:30 am Class 2 - “Sail Trim and Basic Steering”
July 10SAT 9:30 am Class 3 - “Stopping, Starting, Landings”
July 16FRI 6:00 pm Class 4 - “Race Course Fundamentals”
July 17SAT 9:30 am Class 5 - “Mini Regatta

2010 Junior Sailing Program
On water instruction is held every Wednesday at 4:00 pm from June through August. It is not mandatory to attend every week. This is a non-fee based program designed to introduce children to the joy of sailing. Younger children sail in Optimists and older children in radial rigged Lasers. We do not provide boats but can assist you in try out a boat or in acquiring one of your own, contact Junior Sailing Coordinator, Gary Jones.
